Early Years of the Toronto Theosophy Society with dr. Gillian McCann

What did Toronto look like spiritually and culturally at the close of the nineteenth century?

Who were the people who came together to found the TTS, and what brought them into the same room?

Gillian is a scholar of religion whose work focuses on New Religious Movements, the intersection of Eastern and Western spiritual thought, and the history of alternative spiritual communities in North America. She holds a doctorate in Religious Studies from the University of Toronto and teaches at Nipissing University in North Bay, Canada.

Expedition to Gunaung Padang

This is the next talk in our series on conducting a spiritual expedition to sacred sites around the world. Based on his trip in February of 2026, Daniel will outline what is know about this very ancient site and how it upends our knowledge of human development. Daniel will also share the spiritual impressions that come from visiting a sacred site and how to appreciate and benefit from journeys like this.
